The best recent example I can give of project management is the Ivy Tech Community College course catalog, which I have done twice.
This project entailed working closely with Ivy Tech staff to ensure that all of the included information was as accurate as possible at press time — a challenging task, since course curricula constantly evolve, staff and faculty come and go and policies and procedures are subject to change and clarification.
In addition to the composition of the catalog, I also was responsible for identifying qualified printing vendors, writing bid specifications and soliciting bids. After the vendor was selected, I worked with that company to provide final artwork and data for the printed and CD versions of the catalog and to arrange timely delivery to each of the college's 23 campuses.
After the project was completed, I exported the text as Microsoft Word documents so that the catalog files could be incrementally updated and future editions more easily generated.
